For private coaches
You're great at coaching.Growing the business is a different game.
You didn't start coaching to become a marketer, salesperson, or pricing strategist. But at some point, talent alone stops growing your revenue.
Most coaches are leaving $5,000-$15,000/year on the table without knowing it.
This is what it feels like
You're coaching 30 hours a week. Responding to parent DMs at night. Spending Sunday building next week's schedule instead of being with your family.
You love the coaching. But the business part makes you feel like you're drowning. Some weeks you wonder if this is even worth it.
Your schedule is full but your income doesn't reflect it. You charge the same rate for everything. You've thought about raising prices but you're afraid families will leave.
"I'm a coach, not a businessperson." "Maybe I just need more clients." "I don't have time to figure this out."
These aren't character flaws. They're structural problems. And structural problems have structural solutions.
What if your business worked as well as your coaching?
You coach the athletes you choose, at the hours you want. Business tasks take 2 hours a week. You haven't answered a late-night parent text in months.
You feel confident about what you charge. You don't discount. You don't apologize. You know exactly what your business does and what it's worth.
Three tiers. Families self-select. Your revenue is up 40% from the same number of athletes. You've got a waitlist for premium spots.
"I built this. I know my numbers. I know what to do next week and next quarter."
This is what coaches look like after they fix the structure. Here's how.

Former CEO. MBA instructor. $30K master's degree. 10 years in startups. Thousands of hours of business books. Business nerd for coaching nerds.
How I got here
I took over as CEO of a company that was losing $500K a month. The previous leadership had grown the team thinking more people would fix the problem. But more people in a business that is fundamentally not working doesn't make it better. I had to lay off half the company and reset it. With fewer people, we had to keep every plate spinning. There was no time to think about next quarter. I needed the company to survive next week.
It took me two years to realize something obvious: if I didn't carve out time to work ON the business, nobody would. The ship wasn't going to steer itself. We stopped trying to do everything. We picked 2-3 priorities, executed for two weeks, reviewed, and reset. We went from losing $500K/month to profitable in 6 months. Then we grew from $2M to $5M.
We turned it around. But my passion was never in running a marketing technology company. It was in helping entrepreneurs build something that matters, and in youth sports and how it builds successful, resilient adults.
So I left. And when I started working with private coaches, I saw the exact same structural problems I'd just spent years fixing. Incredible talent. Incredible work ethic. A business model that caps their income at the number of hours in a week. Great coaches who charge one rate for everything, never raise prices, and think the answer is always "get more clients."
I built SportWise because I wanted to combine those two passions: helping entrepreneurs grow, and making youth sports better for everyone.
Real result
Chase was fully booked. 30+ hours a week on the field. His answer to making more money was always “get more clients.”
When we looked at his numbers, the problem wasn't volume. It was structure. He was charging the same rate for every athlete. No premium tier. No group option. No way for families to choose more or less.
We restructured his pricing into three tiers and mapped out a path from $3,500 to $12,000/month. Same athletes. Same hours. Completely different business.

The Practice Plan
We have off-seasons and practice plans for sports - a time to work on our skills and improve between games. You should be doing the same with your business. Two-week sprints. Two to three priorities. A "next practice" list for everything else. It's how you coach your athletes. Now apply it to your business.
This framework came from working with a coach who had his most productive two weeks ever after we built this system. You'd never run 15 drills in one practice. This applies the same discipline to your business.
Diagnose
We run a full revenue and capacity diagnostic. You'll see exactly where money is being left on the table and what to fix first.
Design
Together we build your pricing tiers, package your offers around outcomes, and create the scripts and templates you'll actually use.
Execute
Pick your 2-3 drills. Run your first 2-week sprint. Review. Reset. Repeat. Progress you can feel, not just activity.
Start where you are. Each step builds on the last.

What's actually holding you back
“I can't charge more. Parents will leave.”
One coach added a premium tier with video analysis and priority scheduling. He didn't lose a single family. Half his athletes upgraded, and his revenue went up 40%. When you add real value, families don't leave. They buy more.
“I'm a coach, not a businessperson.”
You already write practice plans, build progressions, and tier your athletes by skill level. That's strategic thinking. You just haven't applied it to the business yet.
“Marketing feels icky.”
Marketing isn't manipulation. It's making it possible for the right families to find you. You're not chasing anyone. You're creating access.
“I don't have time to figure this out.”
You don't need 10 hours a week. You need 2 hours and a plan. That's what The Practice Plan is. Two-week sprints, 2-3 priorities, same discipline you use for athlete development.
What staying the same actually costs
$15,600
Left on the table per year if you're undercharging by $20/session across 15 athletes
260 hrs
Spent on admin per year without systems. That's 5 extra hours every single week.
3+ families
Lost per year because you don't have an entry-level tier for families who want to start small
The cost of this program isn't $199/month. The cost of not having it is another year of the same.
